Because MC is no big deal.  It's not essential.  It's not
fundamental.  Linux has hundreds of things more important
than MC.

I think you mean:  "anything useful about mc."

Actually one out of five is about right for mc.  Probably
only one of five says anything about tomsrtbt or icewm or
netcat (also "marvelous", but non-essential).

Nonsense.  You've referred to five books on Linux.  There
are plenty more.  You've also got the built-in documentation
(man, info, /usr/doc), LDP and thousands of articles on the
internet (most of which can be found in a few minutes using
a good search engine).

You keep whining about mc.  OK, what about mc.  You've
got a book with good documentation on mc.  You've got
the built-in documentation (man, info, /usr/doc).  You've
got over 300 articles about mc available on the internet.
What more do you need?  Start reading (and stop complaining).
