Bravo! I have just installed this from a FreeDOS partition on a
485sx25 with 8 meg ram. I had been running BL 1.7 (Slack 3.5) on
a 386dx25 with 5 meg ram, but blew the power supply a few days
ago.

I am also running a hybrid of BL 1.7 with the Smalllinux version
2.0 kernel (1.0.9) on a 386sx16 laptop with less than 2 meg ram
(640k + 1024k).

Once I renamed all the Slackware packages to .tgz, this install
seemed much simpler than installing BL 1.7 to hard drive. Minor
point - I don't think I was able to reboot from Linux with Ctrl-
Alt-Del, so I simply used "reboot" instead.

As far as I am concerned, if you are able to install this version
of Linux on your hardware, the only thing you really need DOS for,
is the installation itself.
