Sorry about the typo. That's what happens when you stay up all night. :-) > >contains: > >/usr/sbin/chat > >/usr/sbin/pconfig <==== script to edit and save the following > >/etc/resolv.conf to floppy (in ppp-isp.tgz). > >/etc/ppp/options > >/etc/ppp/chatscript > >/etc/ppp/pap-secrets > > I have 'do-chat.tgz' now. You might want grab it again. I made some small revisions overnight. The new version tells you to use ppp-off, not kill -15, to terminate the PPP connection (just so you know you've got the right one). > This may be a dumb question but where is ppp-isp.tgz? I guess it's actually ppp-isp.gz, which doesn't exist until you save your settings to floppy the first time with the pconfig script. The name doesn't matter. It's just the file that my script uses to save/retrieve the settings. All you have to do is copy do-chat.tgz to /, then "zcat do-chat.tgz | tar xvf -", and run pconfig, which is just like Steven's pppsetup except that it uses chat instead of eznet. Howard E.
