You cannot connect to 10.3 with a 68000 based Macintosh using
AppleTalk, period. In order to connect to a 10.3 box with AppleTalk,
you must do so with AppleTalk over TCP/IP. That requires OpenTransport,
and OpenTransport requires a 68020 and System 7.x.

I finally gave up and moved to Linux in order to use my legacy
peripherals. Both Apple and Microsoft are doing their best to bury
AppleTalk support.
