You could try a different handset.  Some get better reception than others.

You can also get repeater units that have an external antenna you'd mount on 
your roof.  This would give you good interior coverage but you would pay a 
couple of hundred dollars for the privilege.

Another option is to check with T-Mobile and find out if there are plans to 
put a new cell site near your new home.  They might not be aware of the 
problem coverage.
