Can you force the phone to jump on a particular carrier (I know my Nokia
6103 has this capability).   If so, you might try forcing the phone to the
non-TMobile carrier that I assume the Tracfone is picking up (unless the
Tracfone is CDMA, in which case my line of reasoning is complete BS).
Unfortunately, if the other carrier is Cingular / AT&T, you probably can't
force the switch, since TMobile phones usually won't allow roaming on
Cingular / AT&T.
