At my mountain cabin, I was able to get reception outside the home but not 
inside.  The T-mobile web site confirmed the same.  They offered to let me out 
of my contract.  Instead, I convinced them to give me two Hotspot-at-Home 
phones at the discounted price even though I had just received new phones a few 
months earlier and re-upped my contract for two more years at that time.  Two 
different customer service reps told me that I could get out of my contract 
even though I never tested their assertion.

way they'd let you out is if you moved to an area completely outside of their

  T-mobile should let you out of your contract if you have no reception at your 
home, even if you moved to the problem. I would make sure another carrier has 
reception before you make that move.
