You are an idea candidate for the [EMAIL PROTECTED] service. This situation was
designed for just this situation. The service works exactly as described and
hands off perfectly. Most of the time I could not tell when the handoff
actually took place unless I was specifically listening for it, even then
the switch was only a slight ever so subtle click if even that.

The other thing as was mention is an outdoor amplifier. For best results you
should have line of sight of a T-Mobile tower. The nearest tower may not
actually be T-Mobile and the nearest tower may not be your best choice due
to tall building, tree or other structures so you may have to adjust it to
get the best reception. A uni-directional antenna would give you better
results as it will have a focused signal with higher gain and where your
signal is noticeably better in one direction. An omni-directional antenna
would be good for an area where the reception is good in several directions
and will have lower gain. You will have to decide which would suit your
needs better.

It would be cheaper to go for the [EMAIL PROTECTED] option, not to mention
easier to setup
for most people.

Subject: [T-Mobile-US] Moved to signal poor area

I recently moved to an area where reception is abyssmal. To make a
call I must go outside on the deck, hold the handset in the air, use
the earplug. I get one bar. I have been happy with TMo for the past 5
years and am still under contract for 18 months. What are my options?
Live with poor coverage? Trac-phone (which gets great reception)?
Thank you in advance>
