Bonnie, Eckhard, Let me remind you that there is at least one other person on the list with a mathematical background and software skills. So whatever the two of you create or discover, please don't keep it a secret from the rest of us! It is such a joy to read the words "beauty of the algorithms". I believe that much of that beauty is hidden because no one has devised a sufficiently rich notation to describe the possibilities. I would be very pleased to enter into a discussion of how to define tablet-weaving algorithms. I have no extra time for programming (it's hard enough to clear time to do some weaving), but I would be willing to review code in C++ or Java, if you write any.
