Sounds like a pretty good habit to me!

I had the same initial reason for doing TurnStyler, though I originally 
wanted to create a tool that would let me create threaded-in designs. I 
added double-faced later, and it's pretty obvious that it was an 
add-on.  Anyway, after the first version was done, I was unhappy with my 
job, and had a fantasy of quitting the day job and selling the program. I 
mistook the fantasy for a possibility. <G> I sold a number of copies, but 
the total amounted to about a week's worth of salary. End of fantasy. But 
I'm still glad I did it, and I still use the program myself. And I'm 
delighted to see yours out there, since you took an approach that was so 
different from mine. Having a choice is always good!

I was also interested to see that you are using XML files for your designs. 
One of the things I had considered doing with my program was switching to 
XML for the data files (as well as converting it to java to make it easier 
to extend and maintain.)
