Sponsored by TWIST - Tablet Weavers International Studies & Techniques

Hallo from the bottom of New Zealand, Dunedin to be exact. I've been lurking
for some time, feeling very much the beginner. Reading Guido's e-mail;

>P.S.: What I could try (if I want of course) is a 6-holed double-faced
>3/1 broken twill with floating brocading on both sides ;-) (that was one
>suggestion of participants of a course with Otfried last weekend).

I boggled at all that Guido has done as it will be years before I have done
half as much. But why not break out and see what can be done which
pentagonal or heptagonal cards; or making knife-proof bag straps for
travellers, with a metal cord down a middle hole; ... [et al.] (as we
cataloguers tend to say); or combining tablet weaving with other techniques
maybe.
Sorry if all these have been thought of and discarded for technical reasons,
but who knows? One day I might actually get to a class and find out what
can't be done. Meanwhile thanks for the books and thanks for all the
technical material, patterns, ideas and inspiration you all share on the
Web.
