>Absolutely, although I hasten to add that I have not used a digital camera
yet. I love the flexibility of having slides: they can be used in a
presentation; I can get excellent color prints from the ones I want.

I can get prints off my digital and use them in presentations too (anywhere
that has a digital projector anyhow)

Difference is I can access them within seconds of taking them and I can
check that I got the picture I wanted whilst I'm still there. I used to have
a 35mm & every lens known, & OK the digital dosen't do everything ...yet.
But I don't take 100s of films for the 1 in 10 great shot, I still take the
pics but choose & print the ones I like MUCH cheaper. For kids they are ace
as they learn to take decent pictures right away. Macro stuff is pretty good
too and once I get my head round all the setting I think I'll be able to
take most of the effects I could with my SLR. Even action horse shots work
well with the latest beastie. I still fancy a digital SLR once the prices
drop a bit more though.

Digital rules for me now & I used to hate the things & say I'd never have
one !
