How is it to work
with, Is there enough room between the pegs to weave in? I seem to
like a goodly distance between my stationary posts, say a metre at least.

There certainly isn't a meter's worth of weaving distance on the Surf Board. In fact, I just measured, and it's about 17" (43 cm). But the "bridges" at each end (think of the bridge on a violin) are both high enough to keep the cards clear of the base and make turning easier. The shorter weaving length does mean that you have to advance the warp fairly frequently, but the overall compactness of the "loom" makes it easy to take to a class, a conference, or a demo.
