I have to aggree , I've pondered over automatic imports a lot by
compairing OSM to AGIV and there are so many differences (buildings in
particular) that I came to the conclusion that we should do this
manually, by humans. In my village alone (a few 1000 houses - tops) It
took me so much time compairing different datasets. I believe AGIV has
more accurate buildings, but data in OSM from field work is also
valuable that you just cannot destroy those by blindly importing another
source.
Maybe we could set up a system like the Cameroon thing, where you assign
yourself a grid to work in. I cannot find the url back immediately but
that system sure works and I believe the source of the webpage that
manages the grids is available on github too.
