Hi Larry, I do not have any ad ons so I don't have any suggestion regarding whether it would make a difference if they are removed or not. One thing I have noticed when starting Thunder bird,is that it often doesn't speak when the program is loaded but it is really there. One way I can check this is after starting it, I wait for about three seconds and then press the tab key and it usualy responds by saying "in box. Sorry I can't help more. Bernie
