Guten Morgen,

M> With the /nologo option here it is at most 5 seconds.

Maybe the difference can be attributed to the fact that my mailbase
resides on a network drive. Whatever, that really isn't my problem.

M> Are you talking about IMAP? I only use POP.

Yes, I use IMAP (on most accounts, that is). I also have a few
"common" and "virtual" folders. But why should they be updated on the
exit of TheBat instead of on the startup?

M> Although I keep TB open all day long, I can close TB and as soon as it

Ok. I'm experiencing very different times. On my laptop that is
connected via WLAN (11 MBit)it usually takes well above five minutes.
If I try shutdown Windows the "not responding" window is coming up. I
usually ignore it, let it just sit there and after the thebat.exe
process terminates the shutdown continues. Again, this is well above
one minute even on 100 MBit LAN.

If I close TheBat without closing Windows I can see the process
murking around until after a few minutes the "BayesIt closing" window
comes up. That is a signal that thebat.exe is also finished and I can
start TheBat once more, if I so desire.
