This is what I've found. This may be confusing and certainly applies to using the message list views in general. For each folder, there are separate configurable list views for no threading, and all threading modes. Additionally, each folder's View Folder window, which is opened by double clicking on any message within a folder, has it's own set of views as well, which may be configured separately from the main window list views. There's is yet another configurable view for looking at MIME digests. This is also set on a per folder basis. Finally there are the Browse Ticker and search lists which again have their own own settings for each threading view. I find this incredibly useful and addictive. It may be confusing if you don't realize this. Another vital thing to know about, is an option that's available for all folders, i.e., 'Use account default column settings'. You can change the default column settings by configuring the column setting for any folder that has this option enabled. Therefore, with this option, you can make managing all these separate views easier. This is so because all folders, within the same account, and which have this option enabled, will use the same list settings for all views, including the View Folder window views. In effect, if you setup the views for one folder, you've set it up for all others which use the default column settings. I've done some testing and this is what I've noted here. If I set up a MIME digest's 'View Folder' column settings, and then close and reopen the digest by double clicking on any message within the digest, I get the same column settings I created. If I move the digest to a folder that uses the default column settings as the last folder it was in, when I open the digest, it still retains the same column settings I created for it. If I move the digest to another accounts folder or a folder that doesn't use the current account's default column settings, and open it, the list view changes to the TB! generic. So, to answer your question, you can setup the MIME digest list view to be consistent, but you can only do so if the MIME digests are within the same folder or if they are within folders, all of which share the same default column views. - -- Allie C Martin \ TB! v1.62/Beta7 & WinXP Pro (SP1) List Moderator / PGP Key - http://pub-key.ac-martin.com -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.1 (Win32) - GPGshell v2.60 iD8DBQE9uuwVV8nrYCsHF+IRAmvdAJ0RyW+Y6QBxC570LOhdZPO1uBA0lACfdJJR +2/L91TrPT7l1fg5zTkCSR0= =scjg -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- ________________________________________________ Current version is 1.61 | "Using TBUDL" information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html
