Aha! You are talking about S/MIME! That's completely different
(well, a slightly related issue to) MIME. The Bat! uses a strong
encryption / decryption profile that requires hands-on authorization
to view an encrypted message. That's why you can't automatically see
an encrypted message in the preview pane.
