I use GPGRelay to handle encryption/decryption, and it can produce a MIME output which The Bat! interprets as attachments. I do not do decryption in the mail program. My mail list server (Mercury/32) produces MIME digests that The Bat! also interprets as attachments. In both cases, the result is the same.
