  Well, that wasn't my intention in all that verbiage. What I described
  is the "normal" process of problem solving in a tech center. Most
  problems are resolved in the first few troubleshooting steps, so many
  of them are resolved on the first call and in only a few minutes.

  However, your strategy of seeing whether the problem goes away or gets
  worse isn't a bad one. As Alexander says in his response to your
  message, it may clear up on its own, and since it seems to be
  occurring only with one contact, it won't totally disable your ability
  to use The Bat!
