Speaking from an ISP that currently has one of its IP ranges being
affected by a similar issue, and depending on whether Bellsouth
maintain their own servers, or outsource them, this problem could take
a while to resolve. But I would say its best to report it ASAP, as if
the ISP are inundated with similar calls they tend to act a bit
quicker, which I would assume may well be happening.

Basically be persistent. You have the facts. Keep banging on at them
till they fix it.

I'm going to opt for chickening out, Ben. Perry's advice convinced me that
I'll never get this handled by calling BellSouth. I just don't have the
temperament for it. If you ever heard me answering a call from a
telemarketeer, you'd know what I was talking about.

I'm going to print out this thread and keep it for future reference, e.g.,
if it keeps happening.

But I'm taking the cowards way out this time.

Thanks for all the great help!
