I take about one trip a year.  Most of my trips have been to 
the other sites of the companies I've worked for, for project
and staff management coordination with developers and my
own remote reports.  Most of the trips have been long both 
in time and distance, so one a year is just about right for me.

Starting from a home base in Silicon Valley, the list of
destinations includes:

Eastern and Southeastern US
UK (Scotland and England)
Japan
Germany
Armenia
India
