The only travel I've done (in 7 years at this job) was to yearly STC conferences or out-of-town training.
Several years ago our team offered a writing class to employees. It was so popular that we flew two of my writers out to California to deliver the class to employees in the Bay Area. They had a great time, met new people, toured a power plant (we're an energy company), etc. The end result was a greater appreciation on their part for our business and the people in the field. If I could find more ways to get out myself, I would do it. But for now, I'm heads-down at Corporate.
