That is what I did.
I had my previous truck for eleven years and put ~178k on it.
I also missed two days of work in '09 because of "car-trouble."
I was not spending as much on repairs as I am spending now on payments, but
I was having something fixed far too often to justify the headache.
I am very pleased/thankful to be in a position to own a "newer" vehicle ('07
bought in '09 with 14K - over 30K now...) and do not plan to hold onto it
nearly as long as the previous.

It is indeed /so nice/ to have something reliable.
I know there are people out there with 300K (and even 1M) and the adage is:
"Read the Instruction Manual and do what it says" but I seem unable to do
that properly...

I /need/ to have a reliable way to get to work every day - and I enjoy do so
in some amount of comfort...
