I use and like Penguin Computing machines. The plus for me is that they are well tested with mainline Linux distributions. By default they ship with CentOS. One thing that I don't like about Penguin is that its web site will no longer provide live pricing information. You have to configure a machine and wait for a sales rep to send a quote via e-mail. My rep. is pretty speedy, but it's still an inefficiency. Penguin's 2U+ cases mostly contain IPMI consoles with dedicated ethernet interfaces, but the 1U boxes don't. -- Paul Heinlein <> [email protected] <> http://www.madboa.com/ _______________________________________________ Tech mailing list [email protected] https://lists.lopsa.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/tech This list provided by the League of Professional System Administrators http://lopsa.org/
