No, when your mission statement includes "Don't be Evil" and you treat it as you corporate motto, that makes it fair game for me to turn around and use it as a perjorative on them for donating $800K to Obama's warchest while at the same time Google CEO Eric Schmidt is serving as an "informal economic advisor" and former Google executives on the Sicence advisory board pushing their own "network neutrality" agenda contrary to free market principles by buying support from key government figures including FCC Chairman Julius Genachowski.
Furthermore, and this is pretty damning as far as I am concerned, when you say "Don't be evil" but then go into markets with the intention of eliminating competition just like *gasp* that old fuddy-duddy Microsoft. I mean, let's go to Steve Jobs here: "We did not enter the search business. They entered the phone business. Make no mistake they want to kill the iPhone. We won’t let them ... This don’t be evil mantra: It’s bullshit." Check the above response where I said my employer was a Fortune 200 firm... I'm corporate, and have been for some time. And this is not a problem to me.
