Co-opting the conversation and quoting a portion of what Van said...
"I always say now that I was an Iron Man fan when Iron Man wasn't cool-- which was basically the thirty-one years I read his comics before the movie came out."
Dude, I completely get what you mean now. I've been running my Firestorm site for a few years now and been laughed at and mocked by even my closest friends. This week they announce Gail Simone and Ethan Van Sciver (two of the biggest names in comics) will be writing the new Firestorm book, and suddenly EVERYONE who reads comics has been mentioning online that they've always been a Firestorm fan. WTF?!?!
Cheers to everything else you said. I don't have a huge passion for my reasoning, so I can easily be swayed to your side. Regardless, I love me some Iron Man and I'm glad he's popular now. And a Hawkman movie done properly would be awesome. Fingers crossed for you, Luke!
