The future will come not just with a shiny new system (I am in favour of) it will also be because of a BRIDGE to the past. My concern is HOW to document the past work (that is huge) so that it can be included. As IS FOUND now. Not requiring a user to change anything. So I see this as about two things ... (1) shiny new system (2) a data STRUCTURE under which old stuff can be organised. I hope this is clear.
