Sorry if I didn't find your explanation very convincing.
I find your slanted and self-serving summary of my previous
response to be quite unconvincing.
You might actually want to try reading everything I've said on
that subject, before jumping to conclusions.
Yeah, I know. I had these simple scripts that I used to run that
measured my NTP server load over time. I started to point out the
growing server load and you dismissed it because I didn't have enough
data.
There was certainly a lack of data from multiple sources, but my
real point was that you were focusing on a small aspect of the
problem, and not the bigger picture.
Otherwise, you're just spewing attitude onto the list, and that
doesn't really do anyone any good.
I'm not sure that your spewing of your condescending attitude to the
list is very productive either.
Well, any attitude I have towards you and your posts is in
response to your own condescending and holier-than-thou attitude
towards me.
I've got fifteen years of experience in the industry, two years
of experience at one of the largest Internet sites in the world, and
I've continued to do consulting for large customers (and on behalf of
various vendors) since, and I know how all that experience translates
to this situation. If you want to just casually blow me off and have
me accept that, you're going to have to convince me that you've got
at least comparable experience, if not more.
Otherwise, when you act the way you have, you're not going to
like the way I respond.
Now, if your name is Vint Cerf, Jon Postel, Dr. Mills, Paul
Vixie, or any of a number of other people whom I would recognize as
having clearly superior experience, either in general or in this
particular field, then I most humbly apologize. But in that case, I
would have to wonder why you've been masquerading under this alias.
