I would also recommend these two journals, for the same reasons that Dennis gives 
here. In addition, undergraduate APS student affiliates ($35/year, $56/year for 
graduate student affiliates) receive these journals:

"Student members receive the journals Psychological Science, Current Directions in 
Psychological Science, and Psychological Science in the Public Interest. Student 
members also receive the Observer, APS's news publications published 12 times a year"

I won't try for a top five... my first two recommendations are Psychological Science 
and Current Directions in Psychology. I frequently use short report from Psychological 
Science in my classes. The second journal is really aimed at us (teachers of 
psychology), but I think that the presentations are accessible to most students and 
they provide thoughtful if short reviews of some of the more interesting and "hot" 
questions in Psychology. Both of these journals cover a very wide range of areas so 
they should be appropriate for a limited collection.
