Hear hear! And what's more, hear hear!
Boy and girl bands are just about the worst "phenomenon" ever to hit
the British and international charts. It started off with bands like NKOTB
and Take That (who at least had a couple of talented members) and went
downhill from there. Madness may not be the most good-looking bunch of guys
you've ever met - although Mr Barso seems to attract a good deal of interest
:o) - but at least they write their own stuff and can play their chosen
instruments.
Recently, there's been a change in the boy / girl band make-up - now
none of the members can sing! They are just troupe-dancing mannequins,
better suited to Come Bloody Dancing than Top Of The Pops.
Finally, and in defence of Staircase to a certain extent, it has to
be said that 'H' *slap* is the only sane member of the group because he
realises that the whole thing is just one big p***-take. He knows that the
group are talentless!
Our lads may not be devilishly good-looking, they may not prance
around like choreographed whirling dervishes and their singing may on
occasion be a bit awry, but by Christ they have talent and personality in
abundance!
