And in contrast, for the network connections -- either ethernet or wifi -- there really is no difference between the SB3 and Touch (or any other network device for that matter) in the quality of signal transmission. That's because ethernet and wifi use an error-correcting protocol (TCP/IP) to ensure that the exact same bits are sent and received, and reassembled in the correct order on the receiving end.
