I think I have understood my misunderstanding ... :-) No decoding on NAS, just a transcoding to one format to another format in LMS side.
Touch player decodes the file format to convert a binary file to a flow which can be sent to the spdif interface. This spdif flow cannot be produced on NAS server because it is not a binary flow that can be sent to the local network. I was sure the spdif flow corresponded to the PCM format but it seems PCM is just another audio file format. So, there is a last point it is not clear. For example below, which diffusion will be used by Touch player to create spdif flow ? WAV format : FLAC -> flac/sox MP3 -> lame PCM -> Natif ------------------------------------------------------------------------ r11bordo's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=58946 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=98063 _______________________________________________ Touch mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch
