Joe, I have a T2-301 also and thought I would pull it out of the "things-to-do" box and see if I could configure it. I too cannot connect with either otwinconfig or hyperterminal. I am not sure what the story is.
The only thing I could do was check the wiring of all the external cables up to the t2-301 and everything was good. The T2-301 does not seem to power up at this point, but without a real schematic it is going to be a little difficult to troubleshoot at the moment. Hopefully Scott has a schematic as to how everything mates up internally and will post it somewhere.
