Well, heck. Sorry for the premature send and the resulting noise. I
continue my list of feature requests below.

          - abbreviation support: in embedded systems we tend to have
fixed text fields,

so translators often have to come up with
abbreviations in various languages.

- about those fixed fields: font and screen support: it would
be really really nice to be able to hand a

list of words/phrases to be xlated along with a
tool which would render those xlations

into a bitmap of the target screen/popup/window
in a pre-determined font.

- more about abbreviation support: the abbreviations would be
associated with a particular word or phrase.

- String usage: it would be useful to have a way to keep track
of where a particular word or phrase was used.
For instance, if a particular phrase was used in
more than one place on a screen or within a
particular software project, that would be very
useful information to know.

- Project association: It would be very useful to go through
the xlation database and pull or tag various words or
phrases to associate with a particular
software project: Generator project uses subset A while
Software download project uses subset B.

- It would be very useful to extract the words and phrases in a
way that different embedded GUIs (QNX, PEG, etc)
                      could easily import them.

Am I asking for the moon? Has this already been done? If not, do these
things look like something that could be added onto Pootle as some sort
of plugin?
