Hi Samuel - I'm sorry. You're exactly right. I didn't realize that you were trying to address that particular aspect and I guess I wasn't going far enough in my explanations.
I was thinking of putting all that information in the application. Some admin user (I think that's what you and/or Dwayne called them) would gather translation database strings (or references to them) into a project and assign them to various screens, associate any appropriate screen bitmaps and fields on those bitmaps. They would also add any new strings that need translation, also assigning them to project/screen(s)/field(s). Now, the translator can know which string/phrase, project, screen and field is the translation target, and can add translations and/or abbreviations to the phrase for the particular language which needs to be addressed.
