Peter,

Is it your interpretation of this paragraph that points A,B and C on the
previously attached diagram cannot be considered to be protectively
earthed.

Sorry to labour the point but I can't see how we can classify a circuit
as protectively earthed when only one point in the circuit is at this
potential. (0.5 Ohms or less).
