RIGHT ON. NOW, WHO IS THEM ?????? Sorry to say, but THEM is US. What I am trying to get at is that while I constantly get moaning and groaning about the darned protection rackets making all the decisions that industry ought to be making, when it comes to doing the work, we're lucky to have the people in the protection rackets doing such good work for us. I'm no longer following the work of TC74 and all it's WGs in detail but I do not remember having seen an official request for interpretation from anyone on this issue. Maybe I missed it. TC74 has rules and regs that specify how such requests will be handled and how all affected parties should be notified. If you haven't heard from them and if CSA/UL/TuV had to make the decision, it probably is because nobody asked TC74 through their national committees to do that job. There is a system for doing this sort of thing but it requires that industry take its responsibilities and do the work, whether that is in the individual job descriptions or not. After al, industry salaries are based on the individual working 80 hours a week for a 40 hour salary, so there should be no problem in getting the work done, as long as youáll stop futzing around with wives, children, vacations and all that stuff. Ghengis Khan never bothered with any of that. Live fast, Die young and have a Good-looking Corpse. Ciao, Vic
