does ur car player has usb in? This is a new thing. U can plug ur hotsync cable into that & use ur music player or use those sqw through which u can use treo as card reader. Another thing u can do is get usb drives with high capacity. Plug it into ur car player. Ur car player would have auxi in from behind, ask the music guys to give u a usb connect - the way they give the ipod cable. I think something should work for u.

The worst thing about my car is the lack of a real antenna and lack of a signal booster to compensate. Plus, I also on a regular basis drive out of range of my local radio favorites. So rather than search for and map different stations, I just use a portable music player. What I'm trying to do here is to converge the function of the separate portable player into my Treo. To do this, convenience is at the top of the list of "must haves", otherwise it'll remain more convenient to continue using a separate device. Since no single SD card available yet will hold my entire collection, this convenience includes being able to automatically update/change what's on the card in the Treo while the card is in the Treo. Double maintenance, managing the music manually both on the desktop and on the card separately, is a deal breaker. The way it works with my dedicated portable player is that I load Winamp, my currently preferred desktop music player/manager, plug in the portable, and when Winamp finishes loading it, click the "Sync" button. Winamp then updates the music on the player by adding to it anything I added to the desktop library and removing from it anything that I have removed from the desktop library.
