I've not been following the entire thread, just glances along the way, 
but I have to agree with the ending. My wife bought me, at my request, a 
Seidio music kist for my 680 -- plays PTunes through the car radio, in 
stereo. Hands free telephone with a mic on the visor. Call comes in, 
PTunes pauses while I take it, calls over and PTunes picks up where it 
left off.
On paper, it's great. Mechanically, it works as advertised.
Except for that pesky GMS leaking through the speaker wires. The kit 
comes with a filter, but it's in the wrong place -- between the phone 
and the FM transmitter -- so it's useless.
There has got to be a way to shield the speakers, but I suspect it 
wouldn't turn out to be very practical. Probably have to completely 
disasssemble the Grand Cherokee.
Alternative #2: I have a set to plug into the Treo -- stereo earbuds 
with a built-in mic. But that, as you mentioned, defeats the purpose of 
Bluetooth, though it's useful when I'm not driving, like in a motel on a 
trip.
I'm probably going to end up investing in a new car radio with a USB 
port so I can play my podcasts from a flash drive. Avoiding that was why 
we bought the Seidio kit...
On the other hand, if anyone has any ideas how to get rid of that noise 
every time the phone talks to the system ...
