That's the thing... I've been completely unable to sync the music to
the card via the Treo itself using the software that will leave me with
enough empty space for Palm things, such as my nightly backups, etc.
The software that will complete the job of transferring the music has
no option to allow for that.

I've tried with two different 2G cards, one from PNY and one from
Dane-Elec, and a class 4 4G SDHC from Kingston.  (The Kingston card is
now in my camera.)

I don't have an 8G card and I'm skipping past it... is 32k clusters
larger or smaller than default?  When I format a card in the Treo or in
my camera, I don't get a choice of cluster size at all, and with the 2G
cards, I Windows isn't giving me a choice either.
