Cheers Roger

Any other previous Palm issues (while I am picking your brain)

Like (IIRC)

Crap screen in bright daylight (180)

Poor key lettering and poor key backlight (good on the 180, a nice bright
green - fubared on the 600, an insipid blue with smudgy lettering)

Poor sound (good on the 600 - ruined on the 650)

Battery life (680) - been there!

Poor customer service (all models)

Re. the trackball - I have no problems there as I tend to want to use the 4
way rocker which does not navigate well in all apps - take Docs to Go for
example, it jumps from the top to the bottom of the screen instead of
scrolling progressively down the files / cells

For me, my love affair with the touch screen ended when it failed and on a
hard rest (whilst hoping to solve the issue), prevented me from getting any
further than the touch screen sync on reboot, therefore rendering the phone
useless

The Blackberry battery life is so much better than a palm device. Their
power mgmt is great. Dim screen and lights when not needed with their light
sensor. Sleep mode while not using it while also ready to receive push
email.

Frankly, it's just awesome that the mail just comes and I don't need to stop
whatever else I was doing to poll the mail.
