The Blackberry battery life is so much better than a palm device. Their power mgmt is great. Dim screen and lights when not needed with their light sensor. Sleep mode while not using it while also ready to receive push email.
Frankly, it's just awesome that the mail just comes and I don't need to stop whatever else I was doing to poll the mail. The only saving grace with the Centro is that it is cheap enough to bin if it goes wrong where-as the others weren't. I must admit I have not really studied the Centro's spec (having just rejoined this group after quite a long absence) but will put it on my shortlist. I have also joined the iPhone & Blackberry groups to do the same so while the 650 is still useable I will just sit on the side and just gather info. I've just spent a week in an office with a guy with an iPhone. He traded in his Treo 680 for it, cause Palm was "too complicated." However, over the past week, he was severely limited in what he could do as we had no WiFi and very limited cell service available. I could still go online and get my mail, watch tv on my Slingbox, use my Centro as a large jump drive to transfer files from one computer to another, and all the usual good stuff.
