Trash? Come on, now! I certainly prefer a physical keyboard, but that doesn't mean I would throw out an iPhone if someone gave one to me! :) I never understood the whole battery issue that people have with iPods. I guess if you keep your device for several years you may run into problems, but the battery lasts so long that I've never had a problem with it running low and I normally trade up every 1-2 years for a new model, so it's a non-issue as far as I'm concerned...
