I agree and disagree. The keyboard issue is clearly a personal preference; I wouldn't call a sports car a piece of trash just because it had an automatic transmission when I prefer manual.
BUT...the battery issue is just retarded. A non-user replaceable battery is a poor design choice IMO. My sister's iPhone had to have a new battery installed at 9 months as it was down to about 8 hours of usage on a charge. The current iPhone's trade-offs still don't interest me, but I'm glad people are getting revved up en masse by a smartphone...finally. ...... Original Message ....... I certainly prefer a physical keyboard, but that doesn't mean I would throw out an iPhone if someone gave one to me! :) I never understood the whole battery issue that people have with iPods. I guess if you keep your device for several years you may run into problems, but the battery lasts so long that I've never had a problem with it running low and I normally trade up every 1-2 years for a new model, so it's a non-issue as far as I'm concerned... > >Levi > >> -----Original Message----- >> From: [email protected] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of >> Scandals & Animals >> Sent: Friday, July 11, 2008 5:22 PM >> To: [email protected] >> Subject: Re: [Treo] Of threads and treo-heads (was Treo 800w) >> >> As long as it lacks a physical QWERTY and has a non-replaceable >> battery, it >> belongs in the trash, no matter how pretty it is. >> >> ......
