Glenn- Dave, your explanation didn't hold water with me.  I didn't accept it. It was too speculative.  No offense, please.  I gave an explanation about Paradise being in heaven today.  When I die I will go directly to be in heaven with Christ. No speculation just inspiration.  Inspiration in that the Bible says, "to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord".  It's in the famous mountain peak in the Bible, 1 Cor. 15, the resurrection chapter.

PS.  Even if Paradise was not in heaven, it makes "no never mind".  It doesn't prove one has to be baptized to go to heaven.  There is NOT a verse in the Bible that says one will be lost without God if he isn't baptized.  IT'S NOT ABOUT BAPTISM, IT'S ABOUT JESUS.  Mormons and the Church of Christ, sometimes it hard to tell the difference between them.
I hope you enjoy your weekend.

Glenn - Wrong.  The Bible does not teach a person is going to hell (or whatever word Mormons use) if they are not baptized.  In fact, the thief on the cross, was with Jesus after he died.

DAVEH:  Sorry to interrupt, Glenn.....but in the past 3 years I explained this twice on TT.   The thief was with Jesus on the day he died, but they were in paradise....not heaven, which Jesus returned to on the 3rd day.

Paul is talking about the resurrection here, and asking, to paraphrase
it, if there is no resurrection, then why do the Saints baptize for the
dead?  This tells us that they did baptize for the dead, since baptism is
a necessary ordinance for salvation.
