Blaine, I'm not sure I understand you here.

I understand that Adam and Eve would live forever, but wouldn't the animals
also be in that position?  Do you see death as existing among the animals
before Adam & Eve sinned?  Didn't all creation come under the curse that
included sickness and death when Adam sinned?  I would love to her your
comments on this.

I find your comments interesting, because it seemed to me that DaveH took
the Adam & Eve story as an allegory, not as something that actually
happened.  You seem to accept, like me, that there was a literal Adam & Eve.
Is that correct?

Concerning the passage you quote about pain in childbirth, do you consider
childbirth itself to be part of the curse, and not just the pain in
childbirth?
