I work with a WCG member who came through the restoration with Tkach. At the time the church corrected it's doctrine they lost much of the original WCG membership, mainly those who could not accept that HWA had led them astray for so many years. My colleague never speaks of the ones who continued in the old armstrongian ways. And I have never researched where they went.

Miracles are possible, but I do not think that LDS as a church will ever correct their doctrine, primarily because they have a separate book they consider scripture, plus JS's revelations, and a group of men to tell them how to interpret it. And, as you can see from the LDS respondents on this forum, the errors are so deeply ingrained that in addition to not being able to see any other viewpoint, they faithfully and vehemently argue in favor of their error. Even when reading Hugh Nibley, or Noel Reynolds, it is easy to see the straws at which they are grasping to justify the errors.

However, LDS do find out the truth one-by-one. After all, even Darwin is a believer now!

Here is a thought experiment. Between protestantism and LDS, which is the most assured way to receive salvation? Protantism. It is the only LOGICAL way to go. If you are a protestant and LDS are right, you get a second chance after death. However, if you are LDS and the protestants are right, you just may be dead in your sins!

What do you know about Garner Ted?

Do you think the day will ever come when Mormonism will renounce Mormonism
and return to Christianity like the Worldwide Church of God?
