Although Mormons constantly seek Christian status, and, even though, acc to DaveH, Mormons are sanctioned 'Christian' by DavidM, it remains a fact that Mormons are not/can not be Protestant/s

Now a question arises--do (or why don't) Mormons wanna be considered Protestant? The argument with them here, on _TT_ is based on the case the Reformation/Protestant Christianity is the only Godly religion--no?

I think this should be repeated.   So here it is again.

Here is a thought experiment. Between protestantism and LDS, which is the
most assured way to receive salvation? Protantism. It is the only LOGICAL
way to go. If you are a protestant and LDS are right, you get a second
chance after death. However, if you are LDS and the protestants are right,
you just may be dead in your sins!
