Hey Marlin.  In case you don't realize this, the Israelites were slaves in the land of Egypt.  They were brought out of that bondage to slavery by promise, not by law.  They were promised rest in the eretz, which was forever since called "the promised land" not the land of reward for obeying the law.   Now the law that came later is able to convert souls, but only by causing them to realize the need for a Savior to give them a new Spirit which will cause them to walk in love.  Those who receive this spirit fulfill the law, they keep all the law.  I keep all the law, by the Spirit which he has given me.   The primary difference between us is how we interpret the law.  You take it carnally, and I take it spiritually.   Peace be with you. Paul definitely believed the law as the word of God, but he said it is only good if a man use it lawfully. I Tim 1: 7-11.   He said those who teach the law for righteousness understand neither what they say nor what they affirm. The same that the Jerusalem council concluded.   Paul asserts that righteousness is from faith to faith Rom 1:17 not from faith to law!!!  As it is written the just shall live by faith!!!   Listen to Paul...
